Problem statement: The optimization processes in Mathematics, Computer Science and Economics are solving effectively by choosing the best element from set of available alternatives elements. In this paper I have described a solution technique called the Best Candidates Method (BCM) which is used to solve optimization problems.

The aim of this paper is to find the optimal solution of the transportation problem. We consider the transportation problem in an Intuitionistic fuzzy environment. Here the costs are represented as triangular Intuitionistic fuzzy (TIFN) numbers. The problem is solved using a Ranking technique called Accuracy Function and Russell’s Method.
An illustrative example is given to verify this approach.
